My shaving experience with Braun 790cc
Hey guys,
As I stated in about me section, I’m more than satisfied with my Braun’s 790cc shaver. I’ve been using electric razors for 10 years now and I still remember my previous shavers that I bought with a hope to get rid of hassles of wet shaving. I then realized getting close shave with dry electric shavers wasn’t as achievable as the companies had claimed. If I shaved at 7 AM, I needed to shave again in the evening. However, the case isnt same with Braun’s shaving system.
In short, the shaver is just remarkable bcoz it cuts hair as close as manual razor. Well, as a user of rotary blade shavers I was quite suspicious at first to switch to Braun’s linear blade shaver. Not that I wasn’t satisfied with rotary blades in the past (Philips Arcitec being one of my favorite shaver of all time).
Soon I snatch the device from the package and started shaving, my suspicion, quickly vanished. It shaved my facial hair fast and comfortably. However, I had to rub quite a few times in my face to actually cut all the problem hairs but it wasnt as many strokes as I had to perform in the past. In fact, it is the pulsonic system that helps cut the hair quickly without pulling your hair and making easy to get close cut without trying hard.
Good enough, the shaver’s head has a locking system. So I can either enable the lock, or disable it. By disabling the lock, the sensitive flexing head trails the curve of the face or neck’s skin and shaves the problem areas. But I actually found that I get a better shave by enabling the lock, since it gives me a compact head grip. I’m very convinced to say that this is the only electric shaver that gave me the closest shave ever.
Thereafter, I decided that’s it, I’m gonna write a review about this shaver. But, I waited and used the shaver for one more month before I started setting up this website to write a comprehensive review. Not to forget, generally a few weeks of handling is essential for your skin to adapt with a new shaver.
However, if you’ve been used to using manual blade razors, you’ll find that no dry electric shaver can give the same result as you can get with traditional wet shaving system. The result is still CLOSE to manual blade razor though and I’d rather have a few black facial hair spots than wasting my precious time and spending more on applying the shaving gel and other chores with manual shavers.
Well, you may complain about the noise produced, but com’on it’s a machine anyway. As long as it works who cares about the noise? Unless you are shaving every midnight next to your wife
, then you shouldn’t care about the noise made at all. To me, the noise level is acceptable and it actually demonstrates how fast the blades are rotating inside that tiny little razor head.

Thanks for the awesome review man….I’m getting the 7-790cc razor for Christmas and it was your review that helped make up my mind. Quick question….have you heard from anyone who uses it to shave their head? It’s why I’m getting it and just want as much feed back as possible. Also…is this a wet/dry razor or just dry?
Again….much appreciation man..
